Who We Are

Alexandra Spiegel and Arielle Sasson
Hi, and welcome to Arielle and Alexandra's blog about Operation Smile! We traveled on an Operation Smile medical mission to Tlaxcala, Mexico from August 26th to September 1st, 2010, where we helped change the lives of the children there with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. Tlaxcala is full of rich Mexican culture and history, and we first started this blog to share our memorable experiences with all of you. Our mission truly changed our perspective on life and we hope that our blog will be able to show you the immense impact Operation Smile has had on our lives. We will try to update our blog as much as we can so we can let you know about the exciting things that are going on in Operation Smile. Throughout all of our experiences with Operation Smile, we learned that if you want something to happen you need to be the change you want to see in the world. We hope to utilize this blog in order to spread as much awareness as possible about Operation Smile.
